--- Comment #6 from Hartmut Schorrig <[email protected]> --- I want to enhance the requirement. 1) The first approach was, and is: Thumb through the document in 2-page edit view, set the cursor with this key press always on top of the left shown page. 2) I have tested yet: With a large monitor (38") with 3820x2400 or 2160 px I can see 40 pages (!) as overview. 10 pages horizontal, zoom = 43%. Images are able to recognize, chapter title with font ...16pt are well readable, text with 10..12 pt are barely readable, to recognize which is written, if the content is general known (by the editor itself). Inferential, this view is proper to check the overview over the document, detect where are faulty page breaks (rendering effects), whether images are correct associated to chapters, whether content is too long (chapter titles between would be proper) etc. pp. Also additional text is writable, short hints for later editing --> For that the new "Go to top of the next (and previous) left shown page" should go to the next following page for the overview (means + 40 for this example, switch each 40 pages). So, for a document with for example 120 pages with a simple finger click a proper overview is possible. This is necessary for the work flow to get overview the document. My first check needs a lot of time, LOffc was busy and not operable (!bad), the CPU has need exact 12,5% (I guess I have 8 cores). Later it was better. It means for such action the rendering needs a little bit more time, and this is proper, to accept. But because especially of that, It is not just and reasonable to shift a little bit with slider or scroll wheel, because any change needs again this rendering time. The only reasonable operation is: Goto the next block of pages (40 for example), wait a little bit for rendering complete, and read the document. That is a hard and necessary requirement. 3) The third user stories may be, using only one page, only view the half or 3/4 of the page, (on a less monitor on Notebook). Then this command should nevertheless select the next page on top. To get overview. (!) To select the top of page (!). It's necessary.
