--- Comment #16 from Eyal Rozenberg <[email protected]> --- (In reply to Khaled Hosny from comment #15) Khaled, you are of course right, but - this is thinking forward. Think of bug: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=151215 and note that myself and Jonathan have already started 'lobbying' for the end of the language-group/script-type trichotomy in favor of flexible support for different scripts. I've even started a proposal to amend the ODF to allow for this (actually, I need to push that forward since I'm not devoting nearly enough time to it; if you're interested, please drop me a line). Anyway, once that's done - we will have distinct font selection for different scripts. So the typefaces supporting Arabic and those supporting Thai would be separated. Also, even today, most people who use an RTL/CTL script don't actually use _many_ such such scripts. Which mean that the Arabic-users will not be bothered by many Thai and Devangari fonts, and vice-versa. Of course, the more of a polyglot you are, the less that's true. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
