I just want to share my perspective as a user – the ENTER key behaves the same way in, I’d say, 100% of programmes. However, this is not the case with SHIFT+ENTER. For example, in all fields in MOZILLA FIREFOX, SHIFT+ENTER inserts a new line and it works the same way in LO sWriter. Also many other programs use SHIFT+ENTER as inserting a new line. As someone who works in a Firefox + LibreOffice environment (though mainly with sWriter – 95% of the time), I’m simply used to SHIFT+ENTER behaving as a new line and really I press SHIFT+ENTER instead of CTRL+ENTER in sCalc EACH TIME... There is no reason why, if SHIFT+ENTER is customisable, ENTER itself should also have to be customisable.
