--- Comment #6 from ady <[email protected]> --- A "row break" in Writer has one meaning, whereas in spreadsheet tools a "row break" has at least 2 different meanings, and thus they cannot match Writer's. This is not the first time the same issue has been raised. It has been rejected in the past. Moreover, the same OP (Orwel) has raised the same (or very similar) issue elsewhere, with the same intention. Calc, and other spreadsheet tools, use [ENTER] and [TAB] in special ways, and they have their own customization options, separated from the general LO keyboard customization dialog. They should be kept apart. Unfortunately, users that do not use spreadsheet tools frequently do not understand and do not care that spreadsheet tools have had the [ENTER] and [TAB] usage specifically configured (and thus their combination with [SHIFT] too) for decades, not just in Calc. Please do not base their usage in spreadsheet tools on web browsers, nor on Writer. The basic problem is the same as with other keyboard combinations that are different in LO than in other (popular) office suits. The basic issue has never been simple to resolve, and it is even more complicated when [SHIFT] is involved. The general keyboard customization dialog has several problems, especially regarding [SHIFT]. Let me re-phrase that; LO fails to deal with all keyboard combinations with [SHIFT] adequately (and that's the reason for so many problems with inserting current day and current time in Calc, among other popular keyboard combinations). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
