File with weekly bar tabs, see latest emtpy sheet with some info to test
behaviour.
I was wondering why my administration went haywire over the last few weeks, and
it turns out 26.8.0 has introduced a regression in how cell references to other
sheets are handled, when copying sheets, compared to all previous versions of
LibreOffice.
My administration tracks bar tabs, of what people drink on a weekly occuring
night, and hence the amount of money owed. This means that every week, a new
sheet is added to the end, which is a copy of the previous one, and the copy
always references the cells in the previous sheet. This allows me keep track of
the consumptions of all the weeks in a row, and the last sheet shows the total
owed amount of money for those drinks.
Expected behaviour, has worked this way since forever:
1. Have a sheet as the last sheet, referencing the cells in the previous sheet.
2. Copy this sheet and place it at the end, so that the copy is now the latest
sheet. The previous sheet can now be filled in.
3. The formulas in the latest, empty sheet now reference the cells in the
previous-latest sheet, and no longer the cells in the previous-previous-latest
sheet.
This is the expected behaviour of LibreOffice: relative cell reference which
moves along with copies/inserts, unless the user specifically uses absolute
references.
Current behaviour as of 26.8.0:
1. Have one empty sheet as the last sheet, referencing the cells in the
previous sheet.
2. Copy this sheet and place it at the end, so that the copy is now the latest
sheet.
3. The formulas in the latest sheet still reference cells in the
previous-previous-latest sheet, i.e. what is now two sheets back. The sheet
reference doesn't move along anymore, even though they are formulated as
regular relative references.
