Bug ID: 173669
Summary: Export XLSX: New Calc functions do not export
correctly
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 27.2.0.0 alpha0+ master
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
>From LO 27.2 (current Master version), a number of new Calc functions are
implemented: ARRAYTOTEXT, BYROW, BYCOL, SCAN, REDUCE, MAP, MAKEMATRIX, LAMBDA,
and ISOMITTED. They are described in the help system, for instance:
https://help.libreoffice.org/27.2/en-US/text/scalc/01/func_array2text.html
These functions already exist in M$ Excel, but if the .ods file is exported as
.xlsx, then Excel cannot read them. Excel reads the function names as e.g.
com.microsoft.arraytotext (rather than ARRAYTOTEXT) and _xlfn.BYROW (rather
than BYROW).
Steps to Reproduce:
See attachment 208669 for sample file with ARRAYTOTEXT and next comment for
sample file with the other new Calc functions.
1. Open sample file in Calc using LO at least version 27.2 (current Master
version).
2. Save as .xlsx file.
3. Open in M$ Excel
Actual Results:
Excel fails to recognize the new functions, displaying function names with
prefixes.
Expected Results:
The file should be readable by Excel, since the functions already exist there.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
Made with this version:
Version: 27.2.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64)
Build ID: caa93e03abb4966d072af53208e81c41f2e3cb77
CPU threads: 20; OS: Windows 11 X86_64 (build 26200); UI render: Skia/Raster;
VCL: win
Locale: da-DK (da_DK); UI: da-DK
