For the past... several months, perhaps more than that, starting the "Tools >
Customize..." dialog, especially in Writer, has been rather slow for me, even
when my system is not heavily loaded. It can take nearly 3 seconds. Now, my PC
isn't the newest (i5-7600K), but it's more than enough for desktop use, and I
do have 24 GB of RAM, so I don't see why this should happen.
There is also a complaint on reddit that opening it increases memory use
significantly, though I can't verify that:
