Description:
I have a large, 50-page odt file with many images. I want to export it to PDF.
Due to the large amount of data, it takes almost a minute to export it.
After the export, I open the PDF for proof-reading. I find a typo, go back to
LO, fix the typo and export it again.
Now the export takes a long time again but at the end, I get an error message:
writing the file failed, because it was opened in the PDF reader (Foxit Reader
in my case).
- Error saving the document ...: Access to ....pdf was denied.
- Error saving the document: General Error. General input/output error.
I need to close the PDF in the reader and start exporting again.
As I am a human, I make the same mistake multiple times, which is really
annoying.
It would be great if in case of a failed writing attempt, there would be a
Retry button. That would allow me to close the PDF and try saving it
immediately, instead of waiting for recreating the same PDF again.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. create a large document with many images
2. export it to pdf
3. open the pdf in an pdf reader (I tried it with Foxit Reader)
4. export the pdf again
Actual Results:
Error message, saving failed.
Expected Results:
An error message asking for a retrial.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
The error message popup should have a Retry button, which would try to save the
already generated PDF again.
