            Bug ID: 173735
Summary: UI/Selection: Unable to select both a table at the top
of the page and the text below it simultaneously
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
In LibreOffice Writer, when a table is located at the top of a page followed by
text directly below it, attempting to select both elements together (using
mouse dragging) fails. The selection gets stuck or highlights only the table,
preventing the user from copying or cutting both the table and the text in a
single operation.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open LibreOffice Writer and create a new document.
2. Insert a table at the very top of the page.
3. Add a paragraph of text directly below the table.
4. Try to select both the text and the table together by clicking and dragging
from the text upwards into the table (or vice versa).

Actual Results:
The selection highlights only the table (or stops at the table boundary),
making it impossible to select and copy both the table and the text together.

Expected Results:
The selection should extend smoothly across both the text and the table,
allowing the user to highlight, copy, or move both elements at the same time.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No
