That is not a bug. > > The problem as you mention is that Autofilter does not extends his range, > except when it is disabled where it was and enabled again (now it works). No. The problem is that Autofilter is acting as if there were 2 independent autofiltered lists. One autofiltered list is the data named range; the other autofiltered list is just the second column, with no data named range. The down-arrows of each column are both there, and each filter is acting on the whole row, as expected, but each column is acting as independent from the other, since the second column is not part of a/the data name range. If the active cell is only cell B4, without selecting any other cell or range, and you enable Autofilter, you can see that the down-arrow is only positioned on cell A1 (i.e. the head of the data named range) whereas there will be no down-arrow on cell B1. There is a way to prove that we can create 2 independent autofiltered lists: 1. Start with the same basic case: A1:A4 : letters, a, b, c B1:B4 : numbers, 1, 2, 3 1.1. Define A1:A4 as a data named range. 2. Add a second list on an area that has no rows / columns in common to the prior list, and there are no adjacent occupied cells: D11:D14 : numbers, 1, 2, 3 3. At this point, there is no Autofilter anywhere. While the only active cell is cell D14, enable Autofilter > cell D11 is the header of one autofiltered list covering cells D12:D14. 4. Click once on cell B4, so it will be the only active cell. Enable (again) Autofilter > cell A1 is the header of a second independent autofiltered list covering cells A2:A4. Now you can filter 2 independent lists, on 2 independent areas. The order of this STR is relevant. I am not convinced that the current behavior is all negative. It allows 2 independent filtered lists. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
