Over 40 bugs have been solved on this version. If users you mentioned will find a specific bug about Find and replace please help them to report it. I will close now this bug as not being very specific. By default, Find and Replace dialog is very simple, a field for entering the expresion to search for, the one for the term to replace (if we want this), and 4 others buttons. The advanced part (with Other options open) is for users who are more advanced and want to search not just for text, but also for styles into a document, or in comments, using regex expression, and so on.
