Description:
When doing an "Export As" of a document in Writer (and similarly documents of
LO apps), Writer uses the folder the Writer document is located in as the
default folder for the export.
The user can manually choose another target folder from the Export dialogue's
breadcrumbs or left panel, but if a user wants to repeatedly use some other
folder for such exports every time, making these changes becomes tedious.
My request is to please: On the PDF Options dialogue (which is part of the
"Export As" procedure), add a feature for the user to designate a custom
default directory for all exports.[*]
In my case, AS AN EXAMPLE: I have a read-only Writer template file in a
composition directory, accessible at the bottom of a date/time-sorted list. I
treat all Writer files as temporary, and periodically delete them from that
directory, keeping the list short. My final files are only the PDFs, which I
want to be in their own directory (for eventual sorting and management to other
locations on my HDD) -- but PDF the produced files need to safe from errors in
my routine deletions of the originating Writer files. This systemic approach
has worked well for me for years on MS Windows, which I have now abandoned.

[*] (There could additionally perhaps be separate user-defaults for each LO
app, since desired repositories for newly created PDFs and spreadsheets may be
different, for example. If it is simpler for LO developers to provide just one
user-default folder for all apps, that too would be satisfactory.)
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a Writer document
2. Access the "Export As" procedure
3.
Actual Results:
If the user requires their own folder somewhere to be used as the default for
every export, that directory must be manually selected every time.
Expected Results:
The expected Export As procedure is to be able to set a user default on the PDF
Options dialogue, to be used by Writer routinely unless a one-time selection is
made from time to time for some other folder to be the target.
