Bug ID: 174042
Summary: Android: sfx/ui/infobar.ui and extrabutton.ui missing
from the packaged assets, a document that raises an
info bar aborts the process
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.8.1.1 release
Hardware: ARM
OS: Android
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Android Viewer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Blocks: 84726
Description:
android/source/build.gradle.kts (android/app/build.gradle.kts on master) copies
only a short list of .ui files into the assets: annotation, hfmenubutton,
inforeadonlydialog, pbmenubutton, scrollbars, tabbuttons, tabbuttonsmirrored,
tabviewbar. The sfx2 info bar (sfx2/source/dialog/infobar.cxx) loads
sfx/ui/infobar.ui and sfx/ui/extrabutton.ui, which are not in that list.
Loading a document that raises an info bar then aborts the whole process:
E libo:sal/osl/unx/file: failed to open
/assets/share/config/soffice.cfg/sfx/ui/infobar.ui
E LibreOffice/androidinst: SalAbort: 'Unspecified application error'
Seen with LibreOfficeKit (--enable-android-lok, NDK r28c, arm64) on a Pixel 8
running Android 17, loading LibreOffice's own test file
sw/qa/extras/ooxmlexport/data/FileWithInvalidImageLink.docx, which raises the
"links not updated" info bar. Adding the two files to the assets fixes it.
Related, same recipe: share/liblangtag is not packaged, so i18nlangtag logs
"Unable to read the xml file: <app
data>/share/liblangtag/language-subtag-registry.xml", and language tags beyond
the built-in table cannot be resolved.
The asset list is unchanged on master as of 2026-10-15.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Build LibreOfficeKit for Android: ./autogen.sh
--with-distro=LibreOfficeAndroidAarch64 --enable-android-lok, then make.
2. Package the assets the way android/source/build.gradle.kts does.
3. Load sw/qa/extras/ooxmlexport/data/FileWithInvalidImageLink.docx through
LibreOfficeKit (documentLoad).
Actual Results:
The process aborts (SalAbort: 'Unspecified application error') right after
"failed to open .../sfx/ui/infobar.ui".
Expected Results:
The document loads. The info bar is either built from packaged .ui files or
skipped.
Reproducible: Always
