Changing the label is simple but we also have to drop these two buttons. Guess there are more users who would miss the functionality than those who stumble over the unexpected plural. OTOH, I wouldn't object a (potentially wrong) singular for the command labels. It is effective on the context menu for text, in tables, at the main menu under Edit, and on the notebookbars.
