--- Comment #2 from BogdanB <[email protected]> --- (In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #1) > Insert fields of the same type such as date and time and find the buttons in > the field edit dialog that allow to go to "Next/Previous field of same type". > First, I do NOT insist in changing from plural to singular. The only reasons for the change would be the fact that from a UI persepctive just one field can be choose to be edited. In the next dialog, the title is correct, because you can edit one field, then another one, so all the functions available in the dialog are correct, even the title of the dialog "Edit fields" is correct to be plural. > Changing the label is simple but we also have to drop these two buttons. > Guess there are more users who would miss the functionality than those who > stumble over the unexpected plural. No way I would remove those functions from here, they are useful. > OTOH, I wouldn't object a (potentially wrong) singular for the command > labels. It is effective on the context menu for text, in tables, at the main > menu under Edit, and on the notebookbars. If there is no agrement to rename anything, I do not insist on any variant. I was just comparing documentation with UI, and I noticed the singular/plural problem, and I could not select multiple fields at once, no mater what field I have choosed, in order to have a plural form for the context menu. So, I just notice an issue. I do not give a plus to any variant here. What users will choose in UX Meeting that will be. Closing this issue is not a problem for me. > Code pointer: > officecfg/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office/UI/WriterCommands.xcu -> > .uno:FieldDialog > sw/uiconfig/swriter/ui/editfielddialog.ui -> GtkButton" id="prev" & id="next" > sw/source/ui/fldui/fldedt.cxx -> m_xPrevBT/m_xNextBT -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
