--- Comment #18 from Eyal Rozenberg <[email protected]> ---
I believe the problem is that we changed the default table style to the style
named "Default Style", where before we were applying the style named "None".

Remember - all tables have a style. We have only ever added tables with styles.
It makes no sense to call a table style "None". But then, we seem to be doing
some weird stuff with the table style named "Default Table Style". It was not
the default table style before, and I'm not sure it is now. It's just the
default option in the Insert Table dialog - which is not the same thing.

Instead of clearly and explicitly laying out on the bug page what we were doing
when "None" was selected as opposed to when "Default Table Style" was selected,
and making an explicit decision of what the default should be - we just
up'n'removed the first option.

So, this is not an enhancement request. This is a bona fide bug. That is not to
say we should again bring back a lie, claiming that you can create a table with
"None" as the style. But our default table style should be lineless. So, I
would mark this is as a normal bug, as a regression, and rename the title to
"Undo recent change to default table style".

There is also the fact that the difference in our behavior with the old and new
default table style also affects the triggering of bug 126008. I am actually
pleased this is happening, because now there the fire of this bug's
manifestation is burning at everyone's feet. In fact, I would strongly
encourage Dan and/or Heiko and/or others to drop everything else and fix bug
126008.
