            Bug ID: 174119
Summary: Writer crashes on correcting table, loses work
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.2.0.3 release
          Hardware: ARM
                OS: macOS (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Calc and Writer do not transfer tables easily. I tried setting up a table in
Writer, then copying the contents of cells in Calc to it. Writer added the
values in rows below the existing table. When I tried to delete the empty rows
above, Writer crashed, taking 30 minutes of intensive technical writing for a
U.S. Patent Application with it, pulling stuff together from several sources.
Now I'm pissed off because I can't remember exactly what I wrote.

Writer 26.2.0.3 (Aarch64) has done this more than once. If Libre is going one
of the go-to editors for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, then it should
do a complete and professional job. I don't think it would be out of line for
Libre to ask the U.S. Government for a grant to do that.
