--- Comment #2 from Owen Genat <[email protected]> ---
Created attachment 84298
  --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=84298&action=edit
ZIP of ODT/PDF example lists created under v3572 and v4104.

In the original description for this bug, under "How to reproduce" the first
line should read:

Make "List 1 Start" linked to "List 1" (rather than "Start 1")

A somewhat detailed discussion / answer can be found in the related AskLO
thread:

http://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/21589/writer-can-the-list-styles-be-linked/

Example files are attached to make clearer the point being made by the original
reporter. It is easy to become confused about the paragraph style (PS) and list
style (LS) being referred to and exactly what this issue is about. In my
description below I have prefixed each named style with these acronyms and
outlined the two different associations between the style types for the sake of
clarity. I am only using the List 1 styles in my example, but as the original
reporter notes this problem affects all List N and Numbering N styles.

There are two types of inter-style associations being made:

(1) PS:List 1 Start, PS:List 1 Cont., and PS:List 1 End are all "Linked with"
PS:List 1 (rather than PS:List) on the "Organizer" tab. Each sub-style has the
AutoUpdate option checked, thus the expectation is that changes to PS:List 1
will propagate to PS:List 1 Start, PS:List 1 Cont., and PS:List 1 End. This
does not appear to work for most fields on the "Indents & Spacing" tab when
modifying the parent style.

(2) PS:List 1, PS:List 1 Start, PS:List 1 Cont., and PS:List 1 End are all set
to use the "Numbering style" LS:List 1 on the "Outline & Numbering" tab. Again,
the expectation is that changes to LS:List 1 will propagate to PS:List 1,
PS:List 1 Start, PS:List 1 Cont., and PS:List 1 End. This does appear to work
as expected (thus is NOT what this report is about).

For case (1) only changes to the "Line spacing" field appear to work as
expected in the attached example. I have tested this under Crunchbang 11
running v3.5.7.2 and v4.1.0.4. All other fields on the "Indents & Spacing" tab
appear to exhibit problems with inheritance.
