Priority: medium
Bug ID: 68343
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: EDITING: Fill down increments the end of a string even
when pattern is set
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.1.0.4 release
Component: Spreadsheet
Product: LibreOffice
Created attachment 84346
--> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=84346&action=edit
A Spreadsheet that exhibits the above behaviour. Instructions included.
Problem description: When a string ending with a number is filled down, even
when two identical cells are selected Calc increments the cells
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create two cells, one above the other with content starting with a letter
but ending with a number
2. Select both cells and then use the corner to fill down
3. Watch the number increment when you don't want it to ;-)
Current behavior: Number part of the string is incremented
Expected behavior: Selecting more than one identical cell before filling down
indicates that you want the same thing in all the cells you fill. That's what
I'd expect to happen.
Operating System: Windows 8
Version: 4.1.0.4 release
