An empty text box doesn't exist if it's empty. A text box with non visible char is an existing object that you can reach with Tab as said above. To know how to navigate in a slide, check the online help all the shortcuts are indicated. I'm closing this issue. If you think it's not the good behavior please request an enhancement.
