Priority: medium
Bug ID: 70058
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: FILEOPEN: Impossibility to open any document via
double click or 'Open with'
Severity: major
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.0.5.2 release
Component: Libreoffice
Product: LibreOffice
Created attachment 87009

Elevation error message (in French)
System: Windows 7 Pro x64 with a single 'admin' account, UAC set to max, and
EMET.
Modus operandi: Since LibO switch to the .msi format, I do use the Windows
'msiexec' command line (with admin rights) to install LibO (in order to
overcome right problems initially encountered after this switch). This worked
perfectly during 9 months.
Problem: Since LibO version 4.0+, installation via msiexec (with admin rights)
no longer works properly: Double clicking, or right clicking 'Open with' on any
relevant file triggers the error message 'The requested operation requires
elevation' (in my first language: see attachment).
Additional infos: This error doesn't appear in Windows' logs, and doesn't exist
with Apache OpenOffice 4.0 (a comparative test suggested on a forum).
