Calc:

The toolbar now looks reasonably good, but not as it was before the bug 
appeared.

Unfortunately type still renders in black only. A double-click to edit 
shows the color, but it immediately reverts to black.

Writer:

Toolbar now looks normal.

Type appears in the selected color.

A mystery remains: Why do Calc and Writer behave differently?
