I found the solution in the forums of Softcatalà (who leads the Catalan translation): http://www.softcatala.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=5117 There is a problem with the Catalan dictionary, and users have to install the Catalan dictionary extension after the LibreOffice installation.
