Yes, when you have copied successfully the code into the R command terminal,
your image will be created at the location you have shown
(/home/joel/Desktop/imageimport.svg)

Open this image using a separate image viewer.

As described, start LO writer, then:

menu bar options insert|picture|from file.

Select the file using the LO dialogue window. Then compare the appearance of
the image in the writer document with the original image in your image viewer.
