--- Comment #3 from Mark Zellinger <[email protected]> --- No, in my version, it consistently defaults to UTF-16. I open a .csv, change that setting in the dialogue to UTF-8, process the file and close out LibreCalc. I re-start LibreCalc, go to the same or any other .csv file, open it and once again, the dialogue presents it as UTF-16. So it is not remembering my last used setting. Unfortunately, I don't have anything on my computer like Jing that records 'motion' so I can't really show you. I only have .csv files from 2 sources. My brokerage and a network meter that tracks internet usage and spits out usage reports (my ISP only gives me 100GB/month). Both provide UTF-8 csv files. So I have no clue where the UTF-16 setting is coming from. I have an open question in the LibreCalc forums about saving settings. I intend to go back to the previous version once I figure out how to store all my settings/customizations. I really don't want to have to redo all the menu bars, etc. And I don't know if I uninstall LibreCalc in order to re-install an older version if the uninstall routine will store off my settings anywhere. If that's not possible, I have an image from last week before I installed the latest version of LibreOffice and I'll just restore my system to that image. I'm looking for an 'easier' way because several software packages that I have had upgrades the past 4 or 5 days since that image was created and I don't want to have to go back and re-install all those upgrades. I'll just wait on upgrading LibreOffice a few versions and see if somehow whatever is happening doesn't happen anymore. Or I may just move to OpenOffice and wait for a few upgrade cycles to switch back to LibreOffice. That might be more expedient. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
