          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 82608
          Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: FORMATTING: Feature / enhancement suggestion
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Linux (All)
          Reporter: [email protected]
          Hardware: Other
        Whiteboard: BSA
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 4.2.4.2 release
         Component: Writer
           Product: LibreOffice

Problem description: Clean up styles repository

Current behavior: A new empty Writer document has a large number of pre-defined
styles: 100+ paragraph styles, 20 character styles and around 10 frame, page
and numbering styles. These can of course be hidden and/or placed in various
categories, but not deleted.

Expected behavior: To facilitate strict control over the typography of a
document, it would be helpful to include a template which contains the bare
minimum of pre-defined styles. This would make it easier for contributors to
create new templates (based on such a bare-minimum template), which in turn
would make it much easier to collaborate on common documents without getting
style-chaos.

Operating System: Ubuntu
Version: 4.2.4.2 release
