Lee Harding <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEEDINFO |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |FIXED --- Comment #14 from Lee Harding <[email protected]> --- Thanks for all the help, but I seem to have isolated the problem. I downloaded and installed Libre Office onto my old Windows computer, and began a new folder and file. Voila! Pagination proceeded smoothly, starting with 319 and continuing on to to 323. Saved file, re-opened it and Presto! the pagination was secure. Previously I had (a) removed LibreOffice from my regular laptop and download and installed a fresh LO: the problem had persisted, so as I mentioned earlier the problem began IMMEDIATELY after a Ubuntu update, which may have corrupted my Writer files and folders. Nothing for it but to start afresh, which I will now do, my next task being to (a) remove folder and files from my laptop and then (b) download my duplicate files from DROPBOX. And next time a Ubuntu update is imminent, I'll immediately SAVE all my files to my external hard drive BEFORE the update download. Thanks once again for persisting with my problem.
