[email protected] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|RESOLVED |UNCONFIRMED Resolution|NOTOURBUG |--- --- Comment #4 from [email protected] --- I'm not saying TDF *does* host a Debian-type repository, I'm saying it's my *request* that TDF considers hosting one themselves from now on. Plenty of software totally ignores packaging for distributions let alone a repository (e.g. Firefox). Some other software do the packaging themselves and host a repository (e.g. Chrome). LibreOffice seems to be half way in between, you're willing to put packages together yourself (the .deb's in the .tar.gz's on the web site) but not willing to make them more easily used by hosting them in a repository on your servers that'd use just as much bandwidth anyway! So... a) my request isn't one for Debian or the maintainers of the current Launchpad PPA's b) you do have section in this bugtracker which is for 'Installation' and for 'enhancements' so it shouldn't be such a shock I'm raising this here If you simply don't want to explore this idea at all then at least have the decency to mark this as WONTFIX and unmark this as a duplicate of 88318. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
