Bug ID: 91440
Summary: Conditional formatting not copying properly with
format brush
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 4.3.7.2 rc
Hardware: IA64 (Itanium)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
I have conditional formatting applied on cells that create subtotals for
sections of a spreadsheet. There are two conditions, and the formulas are very
simple. For example:
J51>I51 Conditional_format1
J51<I51 Conditional_format2
The conditional format is in (per the above example) J51. When I use "copy
format" to copy the cell's format to another subtotal cell, the cell references
are being treated as absolutes, meaning that subtotals farther down the sheet
are still referring to row 51.
It appears that this bug only applies to the format brush (I used double-click
to invoke the persistent mode). If I use "Paste Special" with just "Format" it
appears to copy the condition correctly.
One other variable: This spreadsheet started as an XLSX file and worked fine
until possibly after I installed 4.3.7.2. After having a lot of problems with
conditional formatting (which I did not have before), I saved it as an ODS
file, but then discovered this copying problem when I reopened it and very few
cells showed the formatting that their still existing conditional formats
should have produced.
