Maybe you could try some clipboard manager to capture the data and attach it here, so we can see what type it is. For Windows there is this http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/inside_clipboard.html I don't know, if https://github.com/hluk/CopyQ or https://github.com/pvanek/qlipper would provide the same functionality for Linux. Also, trying with LibreOffice 4.4.x would be good just to make sure the problem occurs in the latest version. Set to NEEDINFO.
