Hi,
I've reported bug 89463 - this is about "legacy cursor movement behavior when
selecting". I accept explanation of Mr. Kohei Yoshida that this is an
intentional change.
I in general expect "legacy cursor movement", but after some test cases I've
found that some time a new behaviour is needed.
Conclusion: I suggest to add possibility to define keyboard shortcut which
allows to change "new" to "legacy" without calling menu
tools/options/calc/general.
