I've attached a test ODT document with a soft hyphen and the txt document
produced by "Save as..." text file.
The documents contains the word "test" with a soft hypen between the letters
'e' and 's'. The token appears as "te st" in the txt output file.
This is visible when opening the file with a text editor. In Writer, the soft
hyphen is still represented as a soft hyphen; not sure where that information
is stored.

I now upgraded Writer to 5.0.2 and I use Ubuntu Linux 14.10; retrieving Libre
Office from the ppa at
http://ppa.launchpad.net/libreoffice/libreoffice-5-0/ubuntu.
