Only the Drawing format disappeared after saving to .doc. Draw 8, GDI metafile and bitmap were visible. No problem with bitmap quality. Did the same with your example .odg and this time NONE of the pasted images disappeared after save to .doc and reload. I will attach the .odt so you can test.
