This is particularly the case when all of this is completely irrelevant as far as what gets fixed. The granularity just gives some objective measurement as to how serious a problem is. If it were to change at all (which again I see no reason to do this) I would suggest: Critical - serious data loss, major loss of functionality, etc... Major - loss of data, loss of relatively important functionality, etc.... Normal - prevents high quality work Minor - will not prevent but will slow down Enhancement High - affects majority of users; Medium - affects good portion of users Low - affects low number of users Again - for the record I see no reason to change things unless there is an obvious and overwhelming benefit to doing so.
