I put two columns of data in an xy scatter plot by selecting the cells and
choosing
Insert > Chart...
from the menu bar. Once the chart is made, I try to adjust the scale of the
y-axis by right-clicking and selecting
Format Axis > Scale
and unchecking the Automatic boxes next to the Minimum and Maximum settings. If
I enter new values, the program responds with the error message
``Numbers are required. Check your input."
This happens even if I simply re-enter the default values. However, if I
uncheck the boxes *without* editing the default values, I do not get this error
message.
