I checked the content of pl-dict-latest.oxt against what is in LibreOffice, and
it seems to contain the exact same dictionary, affix and hyphenation files. The
thesaurus is about half the size in the newer release.
You can verify that by going into <LibreOffice install
directory>/extensions/dict-pl, and comparing the files.
Can you check with the dictionary maintainers?
Regarding your question on update-information, after doing a search in the
repository of dictionaries that are bundled with LibreOffice, all I can say is,
only one dictionary has it in its description.xml. I'd guess it's not
important.
