I'm sorry to disappoint, but yes, there are lots of bugs, and only so many
people working on getting rid of them.
Anyway, you could also try step 3. (Graphics-related issues) from [1].
Getting and attaching a backtrace from a crash could give a clue what might be
causing that particular crash [2]. The different crashes are likely related,
and have the same basic cause.
