The feature is called "Apply border". You can enable and disable it in the tab
"Options" in the "AutoCorrect Options"-dialog. You open the dialog via Tools >
AutoCorrect > AutoCorrect Options.
The "line" is not a graphic, which can be deleted, but it is the bottom border
of the paragraph above the line. Open the paragraph properties dialog via
context menu or via Format menu, goto tab Borders and set the borders to none,
which is the left most icon.
