Hi, sorry for taking so long to report back.
It seems 5.4 alpha is not compatible with Windows XP. I'll try installing it on
a newer windows that has that specific printer. Maybe is just a Windows XP
issue.
If windows xp won't be supported anymore I might as well stick with 4.7.2
