Alas things got even worse, since a few minutes ago realized that impress slide
rendering, when showing them full screen, is now much worse than it was, and
makes using it to make professional presentation outright unfeasible.
Even large text say size 18 or 20, now looks terribly jagged whereas it was
perfect and smooth before.
To show this clearly, I am attaching a collage with the same portion of a slide
rendered by LO5.3.2.2 (left side of the image) and by a previous version (right
side).
The result is so much worse now as to be actually non-usable.
Being in need of displaying presentations constantly, I am now forced to
downgrade to 5.3.1 urgently.
As things stand now, I sincerely cannot consider this as FIXED
