Perhaps I'm the only person in the whole wide world who's been affected by
this, but putting it in paragraph 19 of the release notes is hardly prominent.
And, in any case, as other have pointed out, retention of legacy features is
often why users prefer to support LO and similar open-source software.
By the way, I can see no record of discussion of this *for Macintosh* in the
minutes of the ESC.
