By default, Base uses hsqldb which needs Java so, if you use LO 32 bits, you
must have Java 32 bits, if you use LO 64 bits, you must have Java 64 bits.
You can also retrieve last stable LO version 5.3.5 (or even 5.4.1) from LO ppa.
Finally, you can rename your LO directory profile (see
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#GNU.2FLinux).
