Aha, interesting. Check your Help - About in normal mode vs. safe mode.
It might be that the problem is with OpenGL ("UI render: GL") and in safe mode
OpenGL would be disabled.
This is the option: Tools - Options - LibreOffice - View - Use OpenGL for all
rendering
If the cause turns out to be OpenGL, you can open this file in Notepad and copy
and paste the contents to a comment:
C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice\4\cache\opengl_device.log
