For the test, you can also rename your LO profile (http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile) so it forces LO to retrieve the good Java? You must know there has been a bug (which is now fixed but I don't remember which bug is it and so in which LO version it will be) concerning LO and Java. For example, if you have Java 1.6, then install LO first time.
