Hmm, can't confirm the OPs submission, as the string in LibreOffice [1] is
<DefaultName>Catalan (Valencian)</DefaultName>, not "Valencia" the
city/province.

But yes Valencian is a co-official language in use in the Valencian Community
(Comunitat Valenciana), or "PaĆ­s ValenciĆ " for those so inclined [2][3]. 

However its ISO registration [4] remains linked to Catalan. So we code it as
ca-ES-Valencia, and name it as indicated.

@Eike, Sophi, Xisco -- for l10n would the Valencian Community users be better
served to change the name in ca-ES-valencia XML to simply Valencian as seems to
be preferred in the locale, dropping the Catalan parent?
