This is interesting, I didn't know about this option. It isn't the most
intuitive option, since I don't want a table, I only want a chart, but this is
a good workaround.

Yes, this is true, but this doesn't fix the issue: the row number is now
displayed as a number instead of a date, but it still is not possible to enter
a x-value.

Take a look at the column labels in my 2 screenshots: one has a "Data Labels",
"X-Values", "Y-Values"x2; and the other has "Data Labels", "Y-Values"x2.
