Yes I mean the formatting of the field is reverting to the what it was not the
data.

The number field seems entirely unstable as initially it was just a plain
number ie "2.34" as per imported data.

I changed the format to reflect the numbers actual formatting to currency so
"£2.34".

Almost everytime I subsequently opened the file the formatting of the field had
to be set again from "2.34" to "£2.34".

The last time I open the file it showed "$2.34" so neither the "2.34" or the
"£2.34".

I will have a look at the language settings perhaps these are confusing things
but surely field settings need to trump file language settings. I don't but
some people must need multiple country currency settings for different fields
in their databases.

As I've used real test data for this database I won't be unloading the whole
file here.
