retested under 6.4.0.0.alpha0+ (x64)
Build ID: 30c5aead03b10b4dc0497c1d799dbfb903ee140b
CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 6.1; UI render: GL; VCL: win;
TinderBox: Win-x86_64@42, Branch:master, Time: 2019-09-23_00:31:42
Locale: it-IT (it_IT); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

now the 6.4.x performance is the same as in 6.1.3...
both take 14 seconds to load which is much better than the awful 32 seconds of
6.2.7

however the performance is still worse than 5.3.7 where it was quite fast.

as mentioned several time, the regression happened in 6.0.x development
(comment 11) and a bibisect regarding the offending committ is available in
comment 13 but it seems it has never been addressed.

to Noel's last commits (thank you very much) fixed the awful 6.2.x regression
but we are still dealing with an inferior performance when compared to the old
5.3.x branch

do you think a new clean report should be opened or should we continue over
this one.
