The newest version to hand is 6.1.5.2 on another machine.
I have tried the test (i := i + 1;) with this version with identical results.
I have searched and tried several vaguely relevant Tools -> 'AutoCorrect'
options but failed to find an option which would inhibit this particular
"correction".
If there is a setting to deal with this annoying behaviour, it is well hidden
and should be made more visible.
