When you change the query with this wildcard to direct executed SQL, it would work like the direct executed Delete-statement. The only possibility to change this behavior is: don't change the wildcard in the GUI, so it would work the same in queries and directly executed SQL. If we discuss this, I would vote for changing in this way: don't change wildcards in the GUI.
